Is this a good class for beginners?

Yes. Absolute beginners are welcome.

Comfortable workout or dance wear is recommended along with flat dance shoes or sneakers.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No. But you'll definitely learn a few Spanish words in class. Want to practice your Spanish? You're welcome to speak with the teacher or those in class to enhance your conversational capacity. Dance and language are the perfect compliment.
