    When thinking about your commitment to scholars in your district, what are your steps to shaping and sustaining equitable practices to improve edcucational experiences and outcomes for all students? DESE Assistant Commissioner of Learning Services, Dr. Kiffany Pride, explains 4 Practices for leaders to build equity. These essential practices include essential practices for identifing data trends; defining and aligning an equitable system; developing systems and processes that support equitable classroom instruction; and recruitment and retention of diverse educators. The problem of practice presented for this Spark! session asks how to keep the focus on continuous growth for students when challenges of equity and inclusion hit students, staff, and community.

    • Participants will have an improved understanding of how to adderess equity courageously and systematically with resolute actions for the benefit of each student.
