As part of our 50th anniversary celebration, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is kicking off a month-long observance of its progress in Children's Environmental Health.

In observance of Children's Environmental Health Month, each year National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (NLPPW) is a call to bring together individuals, community organizations, industry, and state and local governments to raise awareness of lead poisoning prevention and reduce childhood exposure to lead.

Childhood lead poisoning is still one of the most important health issues in the United States today. This year's NLPPW highlights five panelist for a virtual roundtable: Lead is still a Problem , featuring five technical experts:

Brenda Music, President & Founder of IPALKids - Iowa Parents Against Lead Poisoning

Tammi Holmes, MPH, Healthy Homes Program Supervisor, St. Louis County Department of Public Health

Naudia McCracken, Lead Program Supervisor (Acting), Douglas County, Nebraska Health Department

Crystal McIntyre, Regional Lead-Based Paint Program Coordinator, EPA Region 7

Join us for an interactive discussion on the history of lead in our country, lessons learned and how we can improve lead poisoning prevention in future generations.
