Ryan Wang is Co-founder and General Partner of Outpost Capital, the first Silicon Valley-based venture capital fund focusing on VR/AR/new frontier technology with a strong presence in China.

Ryan is known as a VR/AR expert who oversees VR/AR companies in the US and greater China, with solid insights and strong connections in both markets.​

Prior to Outpost, Ryan was a Venture Partner at CLI Ventures – a $200 million boutique VC fund based in Palo Alto. He led the TMT sector at CLI and had made a number of investments in VR/AR, Drones and Artificial Intelligence. Early in his career, Ryan has compiled a comprehensive and successful career as an investment banker at Citigroup and Societe Generale in New York City. Ryan is a snowboarder, world explorer and owner of many stylish hats.

Joe Jasin has built a 20 year international career within the Mobile/Wireless and Digital Media industries, establishing a cross-border presence in the USA and Asia. Presently, Joe Jasin is Managing Director of DNA Partners, LLC an early stage venture investment firm. DNA invests in digital-media value-chain technology companies, based in the USA and China. Joe spends about 20 to 30 percent of his time in Asia. Joe is presently in active dialogue with the open-source software community, sourcing and indexing the emerging landscape worldwide, for example: Mozilla, Jolla, Tizen, Canonical-Ubuntu.

Marek Sadowski is a full stack developer advocate, a robotics startup founder and an entrepreneur. He has about 20 year experience in consulting largest enterprises in USA, Europe, Middle East and Africa as a senior engineer and an IT architect in mobile, web, Java and integration technologies. As a graduate from the International Space University Marek pioneered in a research on VR goggles for the virtual reality system to control robots on Mars in NASA Ames. Marek moved to Silicon Valley to promote IoT and robotics solutions driven by AI, Cloud, Blockchain, and mobile solutions.

Sandy is the Director of Strategic Programs at Indiegogo, where she has helped hundreds of Asia-based entrepreneurs launch their products into western markets and raise millions of dollars through crowdfunding.

Asia is now one of Indiegogo's fastest growing markets. At Indiegogo, she works with technology and design entrepreneurs to overcome business challenges such as marketing, manufacturing, and product development in order to hit their funding goals and deliver their products. Prior to joining, she led the global expansion for a China-based consumer electronics company, where she helped to build the customer support, digital marketing, sales, and operations teams. She started her career as the first member of Pinterest’s business operations team. There, she single-handedly managed thousands of Pinterest's first advertising clients, and used early learnings to help mold its CPC auction platform from scratch. Sandy has a degree from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Shuonan Chen

Partner at Agile Venture Capital

Shuonan founded Agile Venture Capital in 2016 and focuses on early-stage investments in emerging technology.

Prior to founding Agile, Shuonan worked at Goldman Sachs in investment banking, where she help companies raise late stage funding and get publicly listed. Deals she has worked on has a combined market capitalization of over US$300 billion and span over a dozen industries (including over US$200 billion in TMT).

Outside of banking, Shuonan was involved with AngelVest, one of the largest angel investing network with presence in the US and in China. She also founded and led Cashify, a financial education startup.

Shuonan received a Juris Doctor degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong where she specialized in financial regulation. Shiva Mathapathi

CTO at Dew Mobility

Shivakumar Mathapathi is the Co-Founder and CTO of Dew Mobility. He is the Team Lead for Global City team challenge hosted by National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST USA). Shivakumar has over 25 years of experience in product development, design and faculty. Mathapathi is a seasoned technologist, entrepreneur, instructor and practitioner on the Internet of Things (IoT) with extensive experience as lead faculty, lab-practice and mentorship in executing smart city, smart agriculture, assisted living and other IoT related projects. He has designed study programs and academic syllabus for The IoT course, a Masters curriculum (4 units) taught at Santa Clara University and California Polytechnic State University. He led capstone design project at Cal Poly (part of California State University) to design and develop IoT cloud platform needed for smart city.

Mr. Mathapathi has contributed to build the ecosystem and establish innovation pathways for the OpenIoT project, a blueprint and awarded Open Source project in the Internet of Things for smart Cities sponsored by the European commission. He is focused on academic research and Innovation and he is involved in architecture design and development of smart city projects such as smart trash monitoring, Flood monitoring and smart trail traffic monitoring.
