Launch Party: Pittsburgh’s AI Map of Civic Learning Opportunities

By Remake Learning

Overview

Join us at the Children's Museum for an exciting evening celebrating Pittsburgh's AI Map of Civic Learning Opportunities!

For the past year, young people across Pittsburgh have been researching, dreaming, designing, and testing a new way to navigate the city. Young people have helped design the tools our city can use to support them.

Now, we’re launching it together.

During this celebration, we’ll:

  • Meet the teen creators, testers, and storytellers
  • Experience the AI-powered map tool live
  • Hear how young people shaped the design—from idea to prototype to launch
  • Explore Pittsburgh’s youth-serving organizations and programs
  • Share ideas for future features, partnerships, and youth-led improvements
  • Connect with educators, civic partners, community organizations, and peers
  • Enjoy youth-led storytelling, snacks, music, and celebration

Together, we’ll celebrate what’s been built, what’s possible, and the future of youth-powered innovation in Pittsburgh.

Why It Matters

Young people shouldn’t have to luck into opportunity. They should be able to see it, shape it, and share it.

This AI-supported map is:

  • Built with and for teens
  • Rooted in youth voice, belonging, and agency
  • Designed to surface real opportunities across neighborhoods
  • A tool to strengthen connections between youth, schools, and community partners
  • A foundation to deepen civic imagination across the region

This launch marks a new chapter in Pittsburgh’s commitment to being a place where young people feel seen, supported, and able to thrive.
