Ready to share your idea with the world? Learn how to produce your own podcast from idea to air in our new series. Attend all sessions for $150 or register for only the classes you want to attend. Classes may be viewed virtually at the location of your choice, or you may choose to attend at our Northeast Tech BIS Grand Lake location in Grove to view the content.
Podcast Pre-Production
October 14 from 6-7 pm $60
From topic selection, audience targeting, and technical requirements, this session covers everything you need to consider before starting a podcast. Participants will gain practical insights into content planning, equipment setup, logistics to ensure a smooth recording process, and effective promotion strategies to launch a successful podcast.
Registration includes access to a Google Site with a presentation, support materials, and pre-recorded video content to view before a one-hour virtual session with the instructor on 10/14.
Podcast Production
October 21 from 6-7 pm $60
This class covers the comprehensive process of producing an audio or video podcast, from concept development to final publication. Students will learn about planning content, recording episodes, editing audio, and distributing their podcast on various platforms to reach their target audience.
Registration includes access to a Google Site with a presentation, support materials, and pre-recorded video content to view before a one-hour virtual session with the instructor on 10/21.
Podcast Post-Production
October 28 from 6-7 pm $60
This class guides participants through the process of launching a podcast, covering initial promotion strategies and metrics for success. Attendees will also learn about ongoing content creation, audience engagement, and podcast monetization to ensure long-term growth and sustainability. Participants will learn how to attract potential sponsors, integrate ads effectively, and leverage platforms like Patreon to generate revenue from their podcasting efforts.
