Latihan is a blindfolded, free-flowing movement practice that helps you connect deeply with yourself and others through spontaneous, non-verbal expression. It’s an opportunity to explore emotions, release tension, and experience a sense of freedom and presence.

How do you get consent with a blindfold on?

Accepted Answer

In Latihan, consent is given and checked in moment-by-moment. Before the practice begins, we’ll explain the process, offer a live demo, and hold a Q&A. You can always choose to observe or step out at any time.

Question 3

How is a safe space maintained during Latihan?

Accepted Answer

Our practice is led by Latihan facilitators who create and maintain a supportive environment. However, please be aware that moving blindfolded can be triggering for some. Self-care is key—if at any point you feel uncomfortable, you are welcome to step out or ask for assistance. Observers are welcome

Is Latihan an erotic practice?

While Latihan may evoke sensual or energetic experiences, it is not intended to be an erotic practice. We ask participants to refrain from intentionally creating erotic energy or engaging in behaviors like touch beneath clothing or kissing. The focus is on emotional connection and presence.

What should I do if I need help during the practice?

If you need assistance anytime, you can request help without disturbing others. There will be clear instructions on how to ask for support before the practice begins. Slowing down and checking in with yourself can also be helpful. Facilitators are always available to support your well-being.

What is the policy on confidentiality?

We ask that you respect the anonymity of others by not sharing their personal experiences or identities. If you recognize someone, simply embrace the mystery and keep the interaction focused on your own experience. The emphasis is on personal exploration, not on connecting with specific individuals.

What if I form a strong connection with someone? Can I ask for their contact info?

Latihan is designed to help you explore deeper connections without agendas. We encourage you to release any attachment to romantic or social outcomes and focus on the emotional and energetic aspects of the practice. The experience is more about what the connection evokes in you.

Do I need to bring my own blindfold?

Accepted Answer

No need to bring a blindfold! We will have them available for you. However, if you prefer to bring your own, feel free to do so.

Question 9

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Wear comfortable clothing for movement, like shorts and a tank top or sports bra. Knee pads may be helpful if you plan to be on the floor. Be sure to wear clothing covering private areas, as Latihan may involve touch, and minimize jewelry to avoid distractions.

How long does the practice last?

The entire event will last about two and a half hours (with doors closing at 7 PM), with the actual Latihan practice lasting around one hour. The rest of the time will be used for introductions, explanation, activities, and integration.

Can I choose not to participate in the practice after the introduction?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! You are always in complete control of your participation. If, after the introduction, you feel that Latihan is not for you or prefer to just observe, that’s perfectly okay. Follow your instincts and do what feels right for you.

What if I have physical limitations or concerns?

Latihan is accessible for many types of bodies. If you have any physical limitations, we encourage you to let the facilitators know beforehand. They will guide you to adapt the practice to your needs, and you are always welcome to take breaks as needed.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, feel free to bring a friend! Latihan is a great way to share an experience with others. However, please remind them that the practice is about personal exploration and may feel intense at times.

Is there a limit on how many people can attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes, to ensure a comfortable and supportive environment, we may have limited space for each event. We recommend registering early to guarantee your spot.
