Sorry, no. LapQuest is a challenge of raw personal fitness and endurance.

How serious is this event?

LapQuest is as serious (or causal) as you want to make it. Some riders will strive to push themselves to get as many laps as possible, while others will treat it as a group ride with friends. Regardless of the number of laps or your speed, everyone will have a blast.

No. But you are encouraged to support the people and groups who work to build and maintain the trails we all enjoy.

Mountain biking requires riders to confront their fears, biases, and preconceived notions: we know what it feels like to be fearful, uncomfortable, and out of our element while on a ride. While we believe that everyone's barriers should be respected, we know that mutual support will help get us past those barriers. We must boost each other up and push ourselves to improve both on and off the bike. NWTA wants a world where everyone feels welcome, safe, and free in the outdoors. As an organization, the NWTA is committed to creating a pathway to nature for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, faith, and country of origin.
