Valued for its dramatic color, the precious stone, Lapis Lazuli is reminiscent of a starry sky. When ground into a powder, this very stone has been asource of the richest blues in the greatest paintings by artists such as Vermeer or Da Vinci.
Armed with rich colors and their friendship, this name: Lapislázuli, proved to be fitting in thedebut concert of Mexican violinist Fátima Hernández and the Spanish harpsichordist and pianist Isabel Negrín. In 2024 they founded Lapislázuli, as an outlet to reaffirm the nature of their free spirits and their curiosity to explore Spanish and Mexican music and poetry from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as popular music from Spain and Latin America, a constant staple in their lives.
Their presentations, always in dialogue with their audiences, have been highly applauded for their honesty and natural energy.
