The RI Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (RI-EHDI) program team will facilitate this free virtual language assessment training provided by Allison Sedey, PhD, a speech pathologist, audiologist, and researcher, and director of the Early Language Outcomes Lab (ELO) at the University of Colorado-Boulder.


This training is for you if you are a:

  • Early Intervention provider
  • Hearing Loss Specialized professional
  • Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Pediatric healthcare professional
  • Family support specialist


During this interactive session, you’ll strengthen your skills in assessing and supporting language development for children ages 0 to 3 who have deafness or hard of hearing (DHH). You will learn:

  • How to use the McArthur-Bates CDI (spoken & ASL)
  • How to send assessments to CU-Boulder and understand required forms

You’ll also have opportunities to connect with other early intervention and healthcare professionals.
