Landscape without Borders: Paint and Collage Workshop
Overview
Join us at Turnsol on Wednesday, Dec. 17th from 6-8pm (or so) for an art class, fundraiser, and space to decompress and hangout.
Natalie and Haidee will open the event by exploring how power has been portrayed through landscape in Latin American art, as well as contemporary artists who use their work to transform the US/Mexico border. We’ll provide materials and some techniques for watercolor painting and collage to illustrate our own imaginings of lands without borders.
All levels welcome!
All proceeds after materials costs are going to AIRR’s legal defense fund -- the target for this fund is $100K directly helping families in our community stay together. Check out the link for more details, and we will also be sharing more information at the workshop about our friends at AIRR, and their work to support neighbors and immigrants in our community.
