Pinellas County is a watershed!
A watershed carries water "shed" from the land after rainfall. Drop by drop, water is channeled into soils, creeks, and streams, making its way to Tampa Bay or the Gulf of Mexico.
Every bit of land drains to water and everything we do on land has an impact on our water quality! Common items like dirt, grass clippings, yard debris, pet waste, and fertilizer become pollution in our waters.
Visit www.pinellascounty.org/watershed to find out how you can help protect our waters!
Visit www.pinellascounty.org/fertilizer for information about the landscape maintenance and fertilizer ordinance, for questions call (727 464-4425 or email watershed@pinellascounty.org .
