Overview

Join us online to learn how to make land acknowledgements meaningful and take real action!

Move from words to action.

Curious how you can go beyond simply acknowledging the lands taken from Indigenous peoples through colonization to actively repairing relationships with Indigenous peoples? Join the Land Acknowledgment Action Workshop—an interactive, half-day experience designed for individuals who want to deepen their understanding and take meaningful steps toward Indigenous solidarity.

In this small-group session, you’ll explore both the why and how of land acknowledgments—gaining the tools, confidence, and context to craft acknowledgments that lead to real action.

In this workshop, we’ll cover:

✅ Context and history around land acknowledgments
✅ Resources for researching the lands where you live or work
✅ Best practices and sample land acknowledgments
✅ A guided brainstorming exercise to help you put action behind your words

This session is a space for reflection, learning, and practical planning. You’ll leave with a clear framework for creating a personal or professional land acknowledgment that moves beyond performative gestures toward allyship, accountability, and repair.

Whether you’re new to this work or looking to refresh and deepen your practice, this workshop offers a supportive environment to learn alongside others on a similar journey.
