This 6-session online series is designed for moms interested in using many methods of pain control for labor and birth. We will discuss:
- Anatomy and physiology of childbirth,
- Emotional and physical aspects of giving birth.
- Labor interventions, epidurals, birthing plans for birth.
- Numerous comfort measures for labor, birthing, and recovery.
Every class will be interactive(video will be on!) including breathing, relaxation, and visualization techniques, position changes to enhance labor. Usage of the birthing fitness ball. We will discuss the role of the support person and how to engage them in identifying the tools to support and advocate for the laboring woman. The instructor is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator of 35 years
