We will show you how. More importantly, YOU will be able to practice this vital skill.
Could you help others after they are injured; if they need splinting sue to a 'sprain' or 'fracture'?
Please attend our October training; you can either learn new skills or practice these important steps to help others.
For Splinting, we will put you into pairs so that both persons learn how to properly (and when to) perform splinting.
This is a 'Community meeting' so all community members are welcome to attend. For those who are not yet in CERT, you are welcome to attend the Radio lecture and participate with the CERT members during the skills portion. We have many basic CERT classes starting in the Valley this year, so there are many opportunities to learn CERT skills.
What to bring: If you are a CERT member, you should bring your PPE's (Personal Protective Equipment such as leather gloves, CERT Helmet, N95 face mask, googles. As there may be a 'blackout' simulation, bring something to correct that issue!
If you are not yet a CERT member, please bring a notepad, take notes and ask questions.

BE SAFE as you will be crossing the 'active' driveways of the Fire Station.
You cannot park on the Fire Station property, but can use the 'local streets such a Mayall just South of the Fire Station. There are two Handicapped Parking spots in front of the Fire Station if needed. Walk along the right side the Fire station and find the 'rail fence' separating the building from the LONG driveway. Walk along the sidewalk (NOT IN THE DRIVEWAY) and take the first LEFT. Enter inside the building, IMMEDIATELY TO THE RIGHT to the Community Room.
