Asi Fui is a four-piece band from Long Beach, California, known for their blend of psych, soul, and atmospheric rock, described as an "elastic rock-funk-soul" with an adventurous spirit. The band is fronted by vocalist/bassist/keyboardist Tatiana Velazquez, and includes guitarist Miguel Vasquez, bassist/keyboardist Vincent Mazza, and drummer Ryan Reiff. The name, which means "this is how I was" in Spanish, reflects the band's philosophy of capturing a moment in time through their music.
Soft Palms isa Long Beach, California-based musical project by husband-and-wife duo Julia Kugel (of The Coathangers) and Scott Montoya (formerly of The Growlers). Their music blends various genres like dream pop, indie rock, and psychedelic rock, and their self-titled debut album was released in 2020. The duo is also known for their community work, including organizing the Happy Sundays festival and the nonprofit Studios for Schools.
