Labyrinth 2: shared residues

Labyrinth, a project performed and curated by cellist Thea Mesirow, centers on textures and sounds that exist between silence and fullness to create a shared close resonance. This iteration, Labyrinth 2: shared residues, will include the delicate and rich still body, turned leaf for solo cello by Maya Bennardo, and an expanded version of Mesirow's piece shared residues for small ensemble and audience, performed with Maya Bennardo, Francesca Ferrara, and Matt Simon. shared residues asks the audience to interact with sound-making sculptures to explore the intersection of communal activities and personal autonomy.

This performance is presented with generous support from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone.
