✨ LABO GAME DESIGN LAB ✨

We're so stoked to provide a space for creative game designers in the space. Whether you design tabletop, board games, video games, or modding, we wanna make sure you have a community to support your development and that you have access to playtesters for your projects.

Expect a safe and vibrant space built with collaboration and creativity in mind. We will also have lots of random materials for prototyping if you need them.

Bar is open so if you need to refuel, we got you covered!

Lots of plug points, seating, big collaborative table(s), food and drink, playtesting material, what more could a designer ask for?! Come by and hang out, we're stoked to get designing with y'all.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have any previous game development experience?

Definitely not, anyone can and should be able to make a game - The community is very helpful and happy to help :)

Do I need to have a project already on the go?

Nope, you can come up with some ideas and brainstorm with the folks here! Collaborative design is the best design!

What if I'm not free at that time?

The Edmonton Game Dev scene is awesome - you should check out GameCamp, Alberta Game Dev Discord, Walkthrough, YEG game audio community sessions etc.
