About the Festival
Kosher QueerFest! serves as a platform for celebrating identity, fostering community, and advocating for equality and inclusion. At a time when it can feel difficult to be gay, challenging to be Jewish, and even more so to be both Jewish and queer, KQF provides a space for creativity and unity! This event will bring together the rich tapestry of Jewish identity and the vibrant diversity within the LGBTQ+ community while inviting in friends and allies alike.
Live Performance etc!
KQF offers the best in Southern California live performance! Rainbow Shabbat presents drag performances by Aunt Shirley and Livinya Karr, and local faves Mostly Kosher will bring their genre-mashing klezmer-rock to the stage. Also performing will be “Hope-Pop” artist Whatever Mike and emerging artists Dakota Dry & The Matzo Dolls. There will be food and drink options (yummy pizza!) as well as a free gender affirming clothing.
Community Support and Sponsors
KQF is grateful to Pico Union Project for providing the host-venue for the event and for supporting the artistry and mission. Sponsors also include Union for Reform Judaism, Wilshire Blvd Temple and Vox Box Arts Collective.
