Kölsch Service

Join us on Tuesday, December 23rd from 5-7pm for Odell's first authentic Cologne-style beer experience!

Kölsch service is a German tradition where Kolsch is served in slim 7oz cylindrical glasses called Stange.

How it works — the ritual:

• Servers (called Köbes) carry round trays — known as Kranz — loaded with several filled Stange.
• As soon as your glass is empty (or nearly empty), a Köbes may quietly replace it with a fresh one — no need to order again. Each fresh pour
• Each refill is tracked with a mark on your coaster. When you’re done, simply place the coaster on top of your glass to signal you don’t want any more.

Why it matters:
This fast, attentive service keeps your beer chilled and fresh from the first sip to the last, and keeps the social vibe lively — a hallmark of Cologne’s historic brewery-pub culture.
