Knitting With Emma -- Knitting Workshop For All!
By Betty's Books
Overview
Beginners and experts alike are welcome to join us for this super fun workshop!
Expert knitter and friend of the shop Emma Oldehoeft is hosting our first ever knitting workshop, perfect for beginners looking to get started, and experts looking to hone their craft + meet other fiber artists!
This workshop will include:
- A lesson for beginners in starting your own scarf + basic knitting knowledge to start building your skills
- Duplicate stitching lesson for more advanced knitters (we recommend bringing an existing knit to stitch onto although some samples will be provided)
- Bonus craft for all: stitch marker charm making! Don't know what a stitch marker is? You'll find out soon!
We will provide basic supplies including: yarn, needles, scrap samples to practice on, tapestry needles, duplicate stitch patterns, stitch markers, charms, and scissors. However, if you're already a knitter, we encourage you to bring your own supplies so as to be as comfortable as you can, and so there are enough for newbies.
See you there!
