Knitting in the Heartland 2026
Overview
Knitting in the Heartland (KITH) is a biennial weekend conference that celebrates knitting and the Kansas City metro area's knitting community. The event includes a variety of exciting classes featuring local and internationally recognized instructors. A free vendor market brings together fiber artists and yarn shops from around the Midwest. The Sunflower Knitters Association has sponsored this event since the 1990s.
We have something for everyone! It's time to refine your skills or learn something new: knit, crochet, spin, dye, bind, and photograph. Our class selection team has thoughtfully put together a terrific lineup of classes to keep you engaged the entire weekend!
Please remember to check the KITH website: kithkc.com for the homework and supply lists for classes you're taking. Being prepared for class provides the best experience for you, your classmates and the instructor. Click the button above to register for classes.
Cancellations & Refunds.
Please note if you need to cancel. We cannot refund your class fees unless we are able to replace your seat with someone from the waiting list. The refund will be less the credit card & registration fees.
