Want to sharpen your knife skills? Learn from experienced chefs and culinary instructors in this introductory course. You'll learn basic kitchen safety alongside classical technique, and leave with a full belly. Chef Matt Klein (executive chef of Roses R&R co-founder of Strange Flavor) leads this class.
You'll learn basic kitchen safety and knife safety, the anatomy of a knife, and a variety of basic cuts. Snacks and a light meal will be served. This is an intimate class, with a maximum capacity of 8 students.
This 90-minute class is mostly standing, but seating options are available upon request. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions please get in touch with us at homecoming.presents@gmail.com before registering, to ensure we can accomodate you.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
🕗 Arrive on time or early! We recommend arriving a few minutes before class starts so you have time to get settled.
💇♀️ Long hair must be tied back, and hats or other hair coverings are recommended but not required.
🔪 Knives are only for cutting food.
🙌 Hands must be washed before class begins.
📣 Verbal navigation is important for safety (“corner!” “behind,” etc.)
🧑🧒🧒 Classes are designed for adults, but minors are permitted as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Limit of 1 minor per adult.
