Kiwanis Speaker: Steve Park, Manatee County Emergency Support Group

This Tuesday, we will hear from Steve Park with the Manatee County Emergency Support Group.

This week’s speaker will provide an overview of the Manatee County Emergency Support Group (MCESG), a nonprofit auxiliary support unit for emergency communications. The presentation will cover the group’s role in providing auxiliary communications during declared and undeclared emergencies, its alignment with NIMS and ICS protocols, volunteer recruitment and training, and coordination with the Manatee County Emergency Management Division.

It will also highlight the group’s affiliation with the Amateur Radio Emergency Service® (ARES) and its function as Manatee County ARES/RACES.
