Kirie workshop with Gen Tsuboi

Join visiting artist, Gen Tsuboi at MHC Gallery for a workshop exploring kirie - Japanese paper cutting.

Gen Tsuboi is visiting from Japan to celebrate the opening of his new exhibition, "Present From God".

Come early to see the artwork, then join us as Gen demonstrates how to make a simple kirie. All materials will be provided for you to try your hand at making a few kirie to take home. With Advent around the corner, you might try your hand at making kirie of common Christmas symbols such as the angels, the star, or sheep (examples provided) or wherever your imagination might lead!

Ticket price includes all supplies including black Japanese paper, and a small cutting board and craft knife that are yours to keep.
