About this event

You’re invited to The Duality of Grief: Fostering Agency and Hope Within Complex Environments, a grief and loss event for London’s community of helping professionals. This half-day event will begin by exploring, acknowledging and validating the unique grief experience within the workplace, followed by navigating the difficulties of loss through savouring the small moments of care, grounding and pause. Woven throughout will be somatic exercises and interactive discussions. You can expect conversations about disenfranchised grief, anticipatory grief, ambiguous grief, vicarious trauma and resilience, and multiple losses, among other topics that organically arise from discussions. This event recognizes the multiple dimensions of grief that exist when caring for and supporting others, particularly in challenging work environments with vulnerable communities. Let us come together to create space for grief and hope in the workplace.

This event is free, with the option of donating a personal hygiene item(s) to be used for care bags provided to KCSC clients. There will also be snacks and refreshments available. We ask that attendees arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time to allow everyone to get settled. You may register for either date: June 4th from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM or June 5th from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Please do not sign up for both, as the events are the same in structure and exercises
