Join us at Latinx with Plants in our backyard greenhouse for our first official workshop of the summer: Pot Painting & Repotting for Kiddos!

This lighthearted & beginner-friendly workshop is available for all ages, including parents! This workshop is on a drop-in basis, so everyone can move as fast or slow as you like. Kiddos & families will get to stretch their creative muscles in a beautiful environment, using acrylic markers to paint their own custom plant pot. Afterwards, each participant will be able to choose their very own 4" succulent to plant inside & take home!

$15 per kiddo or parent. RSVP's are encouraged, but walk-ups are more than welcome! Buy 2 tickets and get one 50% off when you pay at the door!

Bring the kiddos in your life (& your inner child) to this fun summer workshop, and use this opportunity to support other small businesses in Boyle Heights & surrounding areas who are hurting from the impact of ICE raids in our communities. Grab a drink or grab a bite, and stop by for the workshop!

This event will be held outdoors in our backyard greenhouse, which can be a bit warm in the daytime, especially during the summer; please dress accordingly and bring water, bug spray & sunscreen if needed. Our backyard is somewhat ADA accessible, with a ramp leading out to the back, and the majority of the backyard is paved with gravel and covered in outdoor rugs, which can be hard for some folks to navigate. Please keep this in mind when RSVP'ing.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have parking?

Unfortunately we do not have a parking lot, but there is a public paid parking lot on our cross-street, Chicago Street, that is open all day and is quite affordable. Metered street parking tends to be limited and competitive, but free residential parking can be found on all side streets off Chavez.

Is the venue ADA accessible?

Our indoor store is ADA accessible, but our backyard is only somewhat ADA accessible; we have a large ramp leading out to the back patio lined with astroturf, but the majority of the backyard is paved with gravel, which can be hard for some folks to navigate. Please keep this in mind when RSVP'ing.

While the shop began with an Instagram account that was at first dedicated to sharing fun memes, plant inspo, and plant parent goals, our community grew into something we never could have imagined. We hope that through plant parenthood, people will be able to deepen their connection with nature and the Earth, and tune into the healing that caring for plants can offer us.
