Kickoff for Card Game Jam with Indiecade

Indiecade celebrates independent game makers throughout the world with their annual convening, awards, organized games and promotion of the art and craft of game design.

For their Santa Monica 150th Anniversary project, Indiecade invites you - yes, you! individually or with your friends, to band together with other community members to help create an Anniversary-themed party game. No experience necessary, but there's a time limit (the Jam) - you have four weeks to consider the prompt and help create the cards that will make up the game.

A kickoff meetup for those who are interested will take place at the Annenberg Community Beach House on 11/15, but all materials will be available online as well. The prototype with community contributions will debut at the Miles Playhouse on Saturday, December 13, 2025, so save the date! Getting Here

The Annenberg Community Beach House is located at 415 Pacific Coast Hwy. Parking is available for $3 per hour or $8 per day. Please pay for parking at the machine upon your arrival. Exact change cash and credit cards are accepted. Ample bike parking is available; please bring a lock.
