- Virtual meeting, June 13 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
- Must attend both virtual meetings and complete required assignments by due date in order to receive credit and the Canvas materials shared during the workshop.
- Participants may earn up to 16 hours of relicensure points or 1.0 USBE credit (aligned to Board Rule R277-315)
- Attendees will have two-weeks to complete a self-paced Canvas course aligned to the new Elementary Keyboarding strands and standards and designed to educate teachers on how to teach keyboarding in Grades K-5. Topics that will be covered are:
- Technique
- Key By Touch
- Student Improvement
- Computer Science and Keyboarding
CREDIT FOR THE WORKSHOPS
Attendees will be able to earn up to 1.0 USBE credit for attending and completing all necessary requirements for the workshop OR can receive relicensure points if all requirements are not met.
COST OF THE WORKSHOPS
The cost to attend the Elementary Keyboarding Workshop is $40/person + registration fees. These fees pay for the facilitator of the workshop. In order for the workshop to take place, we must have at least 15 registered attendees. Space is limited.
