About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Join us for a community conversation led by Dr. Kevin Haggerty, Emeritus Professor for Prevention at the University of Washington. Dr. Haggerty, who also resides in the Snoqualmie Valley, specializes in prevention programs at the community, school and family level. For more than 30 years, he has focused on developing innovative ways to organize the scientific knowledge base for prevention so that parents, communities and schools can better identify, assess and prioritize customized approaches that meet their needs. The morning will feature a keynote, youth panel and time for collaboration and community building.

The doors will open at 8:45 for networking. The program will begin promptly at 9:15 a.m.

Empower Youth Network inspires and promotes youth to lead safe, healthy, and successful lives.

Healthy youth and families are a priority for the Empower Youth Network, and youth suicide and substance abuse prevention are two of our highest priorities.

This important work must involve all sectors of the community in collaboration to change norms and environmental conditions that influence personal health decisions.  You are invited to bring your energy, passion, and care to meetings, events, and initiatives.
