Ketamine use in Blackpool: Co-producing new ways forward

By Coastal Community & Creative Health

Overview

Join us for an afternoon exploring the main drivers and effects of ketamine use in Blackpool.

This is the second in a series of workshops where we are seeking to co-produce new place-based, community-led, strategies to support young ketamine users and to address the wider determinants of health influencing their health behaviours.

In this workshop we will:

1) share findings from an ongoing study, drawing on learning and expertise from across Blackpool and beyond.

2) use creative and participatory activities to co-develop new solutions for tackling ketamine misuse.

About us: We are a group of professionals and researchers mapping existing ketamine misuse provision in Blackpool. This work involves conducting a rapid systems mapping exercise to map all of the different services, assets and organisations who are tackling this issue. The work is being undertaken as part of a collaboration between 3 research initiatives: Mobilising Community Assets to Tackle Health Inequalities, Coastal Communities and Creative Health and Blackpool Researching Together.
