2025 Gurrena Fellow Recital
Violinist Kento Hong is the Meadowmount School of Music's 2025 Gurrena Fellowship recipient. Kento is a profoundly talented and inspiring violinist who has already garnered multiple accolades, including at the Yehudi Menuhin, Thomas and Evon Cooper, Arthur Grumiaux international violin competitions, and is a 2025 Presidential Scholar. His presence on stage as a soloist is both compelling and impressive. Kento will be joined by pianist Nelson Padgett in a program of works by Ravel, Ysaÿe, Strauss, and Hubay.
Awarded by Meadowmount, the Gurrena Fellowship supports and encourages exceptionally talented students and recent alums to become abundantly successful in their professional journey. This generous fellowship of $50,000 provides resources and opportunities, and enables its recipients to continue to pursue their careers with vigor and passion.
