An evening of European Gypsy Jazz, both historic and new by Ken Matthews and “Ken’s Rhythm Changers. Ken recently returned from playing International Music Festivals in France, and is newly inspired to play European Gypsy music.

In a recent phone call Ken said that as well as more modern songs, he’ll be playing some tunes by Jean “Django Reinhart,” (1910-1953), a Belgian-born Romani jazz guitarist and composer in France. Reinhart, according to Wikipedia, “was one of the first major jazz talents to emerge in Europe and has been hailed as one of its most significant exponents.”
