The Kenmore PTA will host a free screening of the film Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience. This film examines the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age. This is the follow up to the award-winning 2016 film— SCREENAGERS: Growing up in the Digital Age - which was the first feature documentary to explore the impact of screen technology on kids and offer parents and families proven solutions.

The event is both for parents and students (recommended for those in 5th grade/10 years old and up). The film will have Spanish subtitles.

The event is free, but we are asking that you register for a ticket(s) so we know how broadly we can open this screening up to others in the community.

Following the film we will have a discussion. There will be an interpreter at the event.

La PTA de Kenmore organizará una proyección gratuita de la película Screenagers CAPÍTULO SIGUIENTE: Descubriendo habilidades para la resistencia al estrés. Esta película examina la ciencia detrás de los desafíos emocionales de los adolescentes, la interacción de las redes sociales y, lo que es más importante, qué se puede hacer en nuestras escuelas y hogares para ayudarlos a desarrollar habilidades cruciales para superar el estrés, la ansiedad y la depresión en nuestra era digital. Esta es la continuación de la galardonada película de 2016: SCREENAGERS: Growing in the Digital Age, que fue el primer documental para explorar el impacto de la tecnología de pantalla en los niños y ofrecer soluciones comprobadas para padres y familias.

El evento es tanto para padres como para estudiantes (recomendado para estudiantes de 5to grado / 10 años en adelante). La película tendrá subtítulos en español.

El evento es gratuito, pero le pedimos que se registre para obtener un boleto (s) para que sepamos en qué medida podemos abrir el espacio para otras personas en la comunidad.

Después de la película tendremos una discusión. Habrá un intérprete en el evento.
