About this event

Explore storytelling and personal memory through the art of collage! In this workshop led by Roanoke artist Nancy M. Stark, participants will play with paper, old photos, handwritten letters, stamps, postcards, and more. All materials will be provided, but participants are highly encouraged to bring any 2D materials that are sentimental or have personal significance to include in their collage.

Nancy M. Stark is a painter and mixed media collage and assemblage artist inspired by strong light, shadows, vivid color, and found objects. Stark enters her studio each time with a sense of excitement, anticipation, and play. She carefully repurposes paper memorabilia, found objects, and heirloom photographs to tell stories of our past, triggering memories and inviting us to linger in moments of nostalgia.
