Welcome to the KCLC-IMI 9th Annual Native Language Symposium!

Date: Mon, Nov 17, 2025 & Tues, Nov 18, 2025

Location: Berna Facio Professional Development Center

Come join us for two days filled with celebration and learning as we further the movement toward educational sovereignty. Our gathering will provide resources for Tribes to exercise self-determination with regard to education and define achievement within Indigenous Education.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who are doing the work of inspiring connection and belonging as we reclaim Indigenous Education, our Native languages and lifeways.

Throughout the day, there will be engaging talks, workshops, and interactive activities led by experts in the field of language reclamation, Indigenous Montessori and Dual immersion language models. Whether you are a language activist, educator, community member, or ally there is something for everyone at the symposium.

Don't miss out on this chance to connect with others around our Native languages and cultures. We look forward to seeing you there!

For groups of 3 or more, plase contact imiinfo@kclcmontessori.org for a 15% off group rate promocode.

Special Evening Program: The Eternal Song Film Screening

We invite you to a special screening of The Eternal Song on Monday, November 17, at 6:30 PM at the historic Guild Theater (3405 Central Avenue NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106).

Short Synopsis
Eternal Song is a cinematic journey through timeless lands and their Indigenous cultures. Voices from around the world and across generations call us to witness the deep, ongoing scars of colonization on lands and peoples, and the healing that comes through ancestral wisdom. Entrusted with medicine stories, we grapple with colonial legacies, intergenerational trauma, our own fragmentation, and a culture of separation.

The film reveals how modernity severs our connection to nature, each other, and the ancestral realm, while feeding us empty promises of salvation, unlimited consumption, economic growth, and individual happiness. As we are drawn into the intricate web of kinship and honoring the living presence of Mother Earth, we awaken a remembrance. A sacred dance comes to life and we begin to hear the eternal song of Life itself, calling us back to belonging.

Tickets
Symposium participants will be admitted to the theater on a first-come, first-served basis with their Native Language Symposium (NLS) badge. Non- NLS participants will be able to purchase tickets at the Guild Theater box office. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Keres Children's Learning Center and the Indienous Montessori Institute.
