About this event

Community • Other

We are in a live-action case study on what happens when we allow racism to fuel our decisions. Are you ready to connect with other community members to build a common language and shared perspective that supports understanding and action toward racial equity?

You are invited to participate in the IN PERSON One-day KC Race Equity and Inclusion Project workshop presented by Sophic Solutions on Monday, December 15th 9a-4p.

This ONE-day session is an interactive discussion that explores the subconscious assumptions about race in America. This session affords participants the opportunity to interrogate this topic in a safe environment, learning and unlearning terms and concepts that fuel racism.

The workshop will specifically address the following themes/topics:

  • Guiding Principles of Equity, Cultural Humility, etc
  • Defining Conflated Terms (ex. Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging, Equity…etc.)
  • Explore key terms: Racism, Anti- racism and white supremacy
  • A Historical Analysis (ex. Large Scale Social Stimulus Initiatives)

We hope that you will join us in this learning experience, as we work together to make a change in our beloved community.

Cheers,

Sophic Solutions
