Kansas Children’s Service League (KCSL)
A private not-for-profit agency serving children and families throughout Kansas. Our mission is to protect and promote the well-being of children. Founded in 1893, KCSL provides a continuum of child abuse prevention programs and services to keep children safe, families, together, and communities strong.
Event History and Purpose
The Red Stocking Campaign began in 1928 when the community was invited to make holiday gifts for children awaiting adoption living at KCSL’s receiving home.
In 1993, it became The Red Stocking Breakfast (RSB) and is KCSL’s signature fundraising event in communities throughout the state helping children and families in need.
The money raised at each Red Stocking Breakfast location supports child abuse prevention programs and services in your local RSB community.
