Kaliane Bradley in conversation with Shahed Ezaydi

Join Kaliane Bradley to celebrate the success of her acclaimed debut novel The Ministry of Time, in conversation with writer and editor Shahed Ezaydi at Lala Books.

The Ministry of Time has been one of Lala Books' best sellers since we opened — a genre-blurring, time-travelling love story that explores what it means for Britain to reckon with its past. Named by nearly every publication imaginable as one of the best books of 2024 (including the Sunday Times, the FT, the Guardian, GQ), and on Barack Obama's summer reading list, Kaliane's smart, funny and moving debut was one of the most original and talked-about novels of the past year.

Kaliane will be joined by Shahed Ezaydi — a writer and editor specialising in culture, social issues and feminism. Shahed is currently a full-time writer at Stylist Magazine and the editor of Peaks of Colour Nature Journal. Her debut book, The Othered Woman, is due out later this year.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets include complimentary drinks.
