By Van Andel Institute for Education

Overview

4-day Camp For Students Entering Grades 2-3 in Fall 2026

How can the energy, artistry, and innovation of K-Pop inspire curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking? Find out in K-Pop STEM Stars, a dynamic STEM camp inspired by the excitement and performance of K-Pop music. Campers will unleash their inner superstar as they explore the science behind lights, sound, movement, technology, and design. They’ll create glowing light effects, code concert-style light shows, and build moving, music-powered creations that dance and shine. From coding to creative construction, campers will dive into the fun fusion of science, technology, and performance while discovering how teamwork, rhythm, and resilience can spark big ideas in STEM.

Guided Activities:

  • Design and build glowing concert light sticks using real circuitry, then wave them in sync to the beat of Soda Pop!
  • Program your own robot with daring paths and choreographed routines to save the world!
  • Step into the role of stage engineers by designing dazzling miniature concert stages with lights, motion, and visual effects worthy of a K-Pop concert.
