About the Talk

Join Dasmer Singh, an Engineer turned Product Manager at Venmo, as he discusses Venmo’s Open Source initiative and how it benefits to the developer community. He’ll walk through Venmo’s various Open Source projects and how you can use them to power your own apps.

Afterwards, there will be an open-ended Q&A where you’ll have the opportunity to ask Dasmer for anything from a deep-dive into some of the integrations discussed in his presentation to more general topics such as the tips and fundamentals of effective Product Management at technology companies.

About the Speaker

Dasmer is a Commerce Product Manager at Venmo. His goal is to make payments more fun, easy, and delightful. As a PM, he works with a team of engineers and designers to take ideas and turn them into product features in the Venmo app, which is used by millions every day. He is also the inventor of the popular Emoji Autocomplete feature that suggests emoji as users type text in payment notes.

Dasmer studied Financial Engineering at Columbia University and will be pursuing his MBA at Stanford University in the fall. He’s a frozen yogurt aficionado who loves running, basketball, and building great products.
