About this event

Everyone deserves a fair chance at housing and a fresh start. Join us for a free community training in collaboration with the Cook County Commission on Human Rights to learn about the Just Housing Amendment (JHA) — a local law that protects people from housing discrimination based on criminal history.

We’ll discuss what the Just Housing Amendment means for renters, how to assert your rights, and where to find help if you believe your housing rights have been violated.

You’ll also learn about record expungement and sealing resources available to help remove barriers to housing and employment. We’re thrilled that Legal Aid Chicago will share how you can begin the process of clearing your record.

📅 Friday, October 24, 2024, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

📍 South Holland Community Center, 501 E 170th St, South Holland, IL

🎟️ Free and open to the public

Together, we can open doors to fair housing and new opportunities.
