🖋️ Junk Journal Basics with Gillian Lancaster
📅 November 8th | 🕓 11am - 12pm
📍Utility Works - MakerSpace

Get ready to cut, collage, and create! Join us for a relaxing and inspiring mornign of junk journaling—a creative art form that blends journaling, scrapbooking, and mixed media into one beautifully personal project.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, Gillian Lancaster will guide you through the basics of designing and assembling your own junk journal using recycled materials, found objects, and bits of paper ephemera. You’ll learn techniques for layering, layout, and embellishment, while exploring how to turn everyday “junk” into meaningful art.

What to Expect:

  • All materials provided (but feel free to bring your own scraps, photos, or keepsakes!)
  • A cozy, creative space to experiment and connect with fellow makers
  • Your own handmade journal to take home

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or brand new to journaling, this class is all about slowing down, getting hands-on, and celebrating the beauty of imperfection.
