Join Charlotte Entrepreneurs for our June event benefiting the Helene Rebuild Collaborative!
9 months ago Hurricane Helene ravaged Western North Carolina. And despite shifting news cycles and political priorities, they still desperately need our help. So this month's Charlotte Entrepreneurs event is going to provide it.
We're going to apply the intentionality and depth you've come to love towards a greater purpose, and we're going to have some fun doing it.
So not only do you get an amazing event where you can surround yourself with like-minded business owners and entrepreneurs, but you can do it while making a difference for those that need it most.
Here's what you can expect:
- Contribution: All proceeds from the event will go to the Helene Rebuild Collaborative, a 501(c)3 actively building homes for Helene victims without the insurance coverage to rebuild. This includes a generous commitment by the owners of Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts to donate a percentage of proceeds from the event as well!
- Entertainment: We're going to bring in some local talent to play live music throughout the event!
- Conversation: While this will be less structured with more open networking than the typical Charlotte Entrepreneurs events, you'll be pushed to think about your contribution, service, and impact as business owners
- Volunteer Sign Ups: If you're interested in getting your hands dirty and making a difference, we'll have projects for you to sign up for
- Fundraising: Not only will event proceeds go to the Helene Rebuild Collaborative, but we'll also have a couple of ways you can get involved in raising funds for their next project(s)!
Again, what could be better than networking with amazing people while also making a difference?
There's a massive need for help out in WNC. There are people who want to help, but don't know how (or which organizations are trustworthy). And there's the Helene Rebuild Collaborative in the middle of it.
They're a 501(c)3 that stood up in the immediate aftermath of Helene, starting simply by driving around with a 55 gallon drum of water, checking on their friends, and providing resources to those who needed it. It quickly turned into a large resupply and recovery operation, bringing together more than 1,000 volunteers to run support operations that provided much needed aid to hundreds of families.
Now their mission is simple - rebuild for those who need it most. The sad reality is that there are a lot of families who lost their homes, are still paying the mortgage, and don't have the insurance coverage to rebuild. They're completing the first rounds of renovations on a number of homes around the Asheville area currently, and funds raised from this event will go directly towards their next project in Swannanoa.
This event is part of a larger effort to raise $70,000 to fund this next project, and then keep going from there to help more families in need.
