Join AIA WNC, Young Office, and Steelcase for our June Lunch and Learn: Sustainable Behaviors in the Built Environment on June 5th from 12 pm-1 pm at The Center for Craft.
Learning Objectives:
- Framing the challenges in the industry: Understanding the history and evolution of design & construction, current challenges impacting the industry, and how sustainability is woven throughout from green leasing to sustainable materials, to sustainable building processes, and ESG reporting.
- Framing the challenges in sustainable reporting: Understanding the increased requirements of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reporting and how each impacts stakeholders from leasing to owner occupation.

What this means and method of building supports lean construction, waste diversion, circularity, and contributes to lowering embodied and operational carbon.
- NEW Behaviors: Understanding common barriers or objections to this method of construction, how we benefit from innovations in building processes, and the critical need to be thoughtful early in the process for the best possible outcomes.
- Sustainable Contributions: Understanding contributions to both LEED and WELL by utilizing a sustainable means and method of building interior spaces.
