About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

We’re kicking off June’s First Friday with something truly thought-provoking—and a little something to sip while you reflect. If you’ve ever wondered how art helps us make sense of the world—or ourselves—this evening is for you.

On June 6, we are excited to host outsider artist, M. Pavone, for a moderated discussion: Art as Language – Curiosity, Creation and Conventions, with selected readings from his recently published zine. Pavone will discuss and take questions about the framework he employed over a three-year period while pursuing risk-free creation through various artistic practices. He describes the resulting zine as a ‘creative capture’ that offers the reader a candid view of how art elicits natural reactions, free from the burden of viewers needing to be “right” and “wrong.”

Guests are also invited to enjoy a curated wine tasting during the event, making this an evening of great conversation, creative exploration, and community connection.
