Frequently asked questions

What should I bring with me?

If you want to float on an air mattress in the pool, wear clothing that may get wet. If you would like to bring an additional blanket/pillow/yoga mat/towel/bathing suit with coverup, and/or change of clothes, please feel free to do so. Comfortable clothing suitable for movement is also encouraged.

What if I don't want to float in the pool?

An air mattress and a small air pillow will be provided for each floating participant, but if you don't want to float in the pool, then you are welcome to get comfortable poolside (on land) in a lounge chair for an equally immersive and restorative experience.

What is included in this event?

Prior to the sound bath itself, participants can enjoy infused water to hydrate before/after the sound bath.

Who should NOT participate in a sound bath?

Physicians discourage women in their first trimester of pregnancy from participating in sound baths during this critical developmental stage because the fetus is highly sensitive to sound & vibrations. Additionally, anyone w/tinnitus may find the sound fluctuations irritating to the auditory system.

Why is the age limit 14 and older?

Generally speaking, the attention and focus of those less than 14 years of age would find the stillness and need to remain quiet too great of a restriction. The maturity of the young person with parental supervision is also a factor, if you'd like to bring someone younger than 14 years let us know.

What if it rains the day/evening of the sound bath event?

Twenty One Acres has a covered pavilion adjacent to the pool deck that we will move the event and activities.
