About this event

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the Jackson State University Alumni Association (JSUNAA) Metro New York Chapter will host its 34th S.T.A.R. Program. Our friends at First AME Church - Bethel in Harlem are, once again, opening their doors to us.

The S.T.A.R. (Special Thanks and Recognition) Program recognizes the achievements of native Mississippians in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT). Our 2025 honorees are tv personality/entrepreneur/author Aikisha Holly Colon and singer Joseph DeVaughn

This event is free and open to the public. In support of our event, we are accepting donations for the Sarah Norville Endowed Scholarship Fund. The fund provides financial assistance to students from the Tri-State area currently attending Jackson State University. Established in 1999, the fund has generated over $125,000 and awarded scholarships and book awards to the students. Please consider supporting this worthy cause; all donations are appreciated and can be made here by clicking on "Get Tickets" where you will see the various levels. We thank you in advance for your support.
