Susi who heads up the Laban Movement Choir Project will lead us to create 'A Dance in a Day' in the beautiful environment of St Andrews Church.
We will explore the themes and ideas in Eliot's poem to devise a dance which expresses the different stages of the Magi's journey - inspiration to start, followed by obstacles, nostalgia for better times but ultimately arrival and joy. There will be opportunities for indivdual and small group response as well as whole group movement.
The day will culminate in a 'performance' of the 'journey'. Individuals are welcome to invite friends and family members but the emphasis here is on experiencing 'the dance' collectively rather than 'performance' in the conventional sense of the word.
No previous dance experience required just an appetite for the joy of moving together!
