'JORVIK' is an interactive, immersive Viking play set in the aftermath of the conquest of Eoforwic (York) and its rebirth as the legendary city; Jorvik.

Like the skalds of old shaped the sagas of today - Jorvik is an exciting piece of new writing that honours that great tradition!

'JORVIK' is an interactive, immersive play - inspired by the Viking sagas and the great tradition of communal storytelling. Expect celebration, song, combat, larger than life characters and plenty of toasting!

Fun, fierce and with a lot of heart - 'JORVIK' is a piece of new writing that explores the modern day through the Viking lens. We aren’t as different from our ancestors as we think. Our desires - while modern at a glance - are deeply rooted in the same human condition: the obsession with glory, fate, and the need to be remembered. 'JORVIK' explores the idea of legacy, loss, glory and family. 'JORVIK' serves as a reminder that we need to enjoy life whilst we are still around to do so, and to cherish those we hold dear.

'Powerful, raw, intense, and wonderfully choreographed to bring the audience into a world of theatre. Amazing.’

First performed in the heart of York - at the historic Viking Festival, followed by London debut at 'The Glitch' - 'JORVIK' returns to The Monk's Walk!
